Camera, Filter Wheel, & DF-2
(focuser) Stacking Dimensions
Both
the CFW and the DF-2 take advantage of the proprietary FLI camera nosepiece
to get as close as possible to the CCD. Use
FLI adapter AD-1 to couple the units together.
Here
are the CCD-to-flange distances for various combinations. The order of
installation makes no difference, but the CFW is usually attached to the camera
first, followed by the DF-2 for minimum vignetting. The third column (below) is the
required height of a Nikkor lens adapter.

Note that the AD-1 adapter adds 0.033" and this has been
included here. Also, these are "design center" values. Tolerances on
any individual camera may result in slightly higher or lower numbers. Finally,
special versions of the cameras where the CCD has been repositioned, c-mount
for instance, will not conform to these numbers.
